hey there! we’re katie and carly
We’re pediatric speech therapists and moms with over 25 years of experience—and six kids—between us. So we know all about communication in the early years…but we also know how busy life is during these years! And, we know how hard it is to worry about them. (That’s true for all the years.)
As early intervention specialists, we’ve spent thousands of hours in our therapy rooms coaching parents like you on things we believe everyone should know. Because the early years are so important, and making the most of them really can be so simple!

meet katie KATIE STERBENZ, M.S., CCC-SLP
Hi! I’m Katie. I’m a mom of four kids and a licensed pediatric speech-language pathologist in Arizona.
In this day and age, we have so much information at our fingertips. It’s helpful, but it can also feel like an overload. As a toddler mom, everywhere I looked, there were new things to be considered. On top of feeling responsible for my child’s emotional, social, and physical development—and just surviving the day—it felt like a lot sometimes.
Carly and I believe you should never have to go at this alone. We’re excited to show you how helping your child talk and communicate more can be doable and fun. You can do this!

Katie is a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), licensed in the state of Arizona. She holds a Master’s degree from Arizona State University and has over 13 years of experience in early intervention, working with kids ages 0-5 in hospitals, clinics, schools, and private practice settings."

CARLY TULLOCH, M.A., RSLP, CCC-SLP
Welcome to Wee Talkers! I’m Carly, a pediatric speech-language pathologist and mom. My husband and I have two girls and live in Vancouver, Canada.
A big part of what I do as a speech therapist is coaching parents like you. After all, speech therapy sessions last about an hour, but you're with your child all the time. So what you do at home really matters!
As a mom, I know how busy life can be. I love connecting with you online because it’s simple! No driving, appointments, or waitlists required. Just take a course or read a blog post and start helping your child at home.

Carly is a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), licensed with the regulatory body of British Columbia. She holds a Master’s degree from California State University (Long Beach) and has over 15 years of experience working with kids ages 0-5. Carly specializes in early intervention, holds additional certifications from PROMPT (levels 1 and 2), and has completed Hanen’s It Takes Two To Talk and More Than Words training programs. "

There were a couple other [accounts] I followed but I felt increased anxiety or parent guilt or just the way they presented things was less reassuring. It also wasn't as practical and big on meeting them where they're at and celebrating where they're at. I like how Carly and Katie's approach was always a growth mindset and positive.
